Other names used: What is it used for? Treating certain worm infections (eg, schistosoma, liver flukes).
Contraindications and cautions:
Do NOT use Praziquantel if: • you are allergic to any ingredient in Praziquantel • you have certain worm infections of the eye (ocular cysticercosis) • you are breast-feeding • you are taking rifampin Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you: • if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding • if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement • if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances • if you have liver, kidney, or heart problems or worm infection of the brain (eg, cerebral cysticercosis)
Side effects:
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome: Dizziness; general feeling of being unwell; headache; nausea; stomach upset. Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur: Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bloody diarrhea; fever; seizures; severe or persistent vomiting; slow or irregular heartbeat.
Interactions: Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even those you may have bought yourself without a prescription.
Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following: • Anticonvulsants (eg, phenytoin, phenobarbital, carbamazepine), chloroquine, dexamethasone, or rifampin because the effectiveness of Praziquantel may be decreased • Azole antifungals (eg, ketoconazole), cimetidine, or erythromycin because actions and side effects of Praziquantel may be increased

Why are branded medicines that you sell so cheap?

Is Generic the exact copy of the original?
