What is it used for?
Heparin is indicated for
- prevention and treatment of diseases caused by blood clots such as certain blood vessel, heart and lung conditions
- prevention blood clots from forming during surgery, dialysis or blood transfusions.
- deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
- angina
Contraindications and cautions: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparatioin.
Side effects: Lioton can cause allergic reaction if you are hypersensitivity to the components of the medicine.
Other side effects not listed above may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your doctor.
Interactions: Tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, including any that you buy without a prescription from your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop. Some medicines may interfere with each other. |
